Tutor.com is a fully online tutoring service. Students have 24/7 access to tutoring in more than 40 subjects including Math, Science, Social Studies, English, and Business. Tutor.com's philosophy is to help students understand the concepts behind what they are working on, so that our students can learn how to solve the problem and reach the answer on their own.

Students can access Tutor.com by clicking on the menu item labeled online tutoring located in their Blackboard courses.

Tutoring

Region 5 Education Service Center's Adult Education & Literacy program provides FREE tutoring for individuals enrolled in college classes, and prepares individuals to take the TSI exam.

ESL (English as a Second Language) classes are provided free of charge to students of all proficiency levels by Region 5 Education Service Center Adult Education and Literacy.

High School Equivalency Preparation Classes

Region 5 Education Service Center Adult Education and Literacy provides high school equivalency exam preparation in reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies. These studies culminate in students in achieving the Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (GED or HiSeT exam) and transitioning to employment and/ or higher education. The program conducts online and face-to face classes throughout Hardin, Jefferson and Orange Counties.

Services are FREE of charge and available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and no longer enrolled in the public school system. 17 year olds may enroll under certain conditions.
