Blackboard
Ally is an accessibility tool that integrates seamlessly with Blackboard. It automatically checks course materials against WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and provides guidance to instructors to improve the accessibility of their course content. It provides students with accessible alternative formats.
Captioning Videos
We currently recommend using YouTube for captioning videos for which LSCPA owns the rights. Generally, this is going to mean that LSCPA created the video.
Use the YouTube Caption Editor to caption videos posted on YouTube. You can keep the URLs unlisted to avoid them showing up in search engines; however, they will be visible to anyone with the link. Captions will be automatically generated using speech recognition technology. You will need to check the captions for accuracy and edit where necessary.
