Art
The Associate of Arts degree in Art curriculum is designed for students who plan to work toward a traditional Bachelor of Arts degree or a professional Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. It also is recommended for students who are undecided about majoring in art but who would like to explore their artistic abilities.

An Associate's degree in Art from Lamar State College Port Arthur will provide you with a solid foundation for your career in the industry of your choice. Lamar University
A student completing the LSCPA curriculum is considered Core Complete.
No more than 60-66 semester credit hours (SCH) from LSCPA will be applied to a Bachelor degree at Lamar University.
An additional 60 SCH or more must be completed to satisfy the bachelor degree requirements.
Students may pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or Studio Art or a Bachelors of Science in Graphic Design or Art Education.
A Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or Studio Art will prepare Students for Graduate School.
