Social Media & Digital Communications Management
LSCPA's new Social Media and Digital Communications Management degree will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be employed in the innovative, engaging and fast-growing world of marketing in a digital environment. Students will explore the unique requirements for communicating messages to consumers via social media and other online branding platforms.
A student in this field needs to have integrity, initiative, and persistence. These students will learn to optimize digital assets, such as text, graphics, and multimedia assets. Students will also learn to optimize website exposure by analyzing search engine patterns to direct online placement of keywords or other content.

What kind of salary can I expect?
According to O*NET OnLine the role of a social media and digital management graduate has a median salary of $26.56 per hour. Other areas of the state have a slightly higher salary range.
How long does it take to complete the Social Media and Digital Management degree?
Students are able to complete an associate degree in two years. The length of time to complete a degree may be reduced if students enroll in more than fall and spring semesters or if they earn advanced placement. A certificate usually takes one year to complete.
Do you offer internships for this degree?
There are internship opportunities for students. Typically, during your final semester on campus, students work as an intern at a local industry. The internship experience can be placed on your resume as work experience. Many internship experiences have led to networking opportunities and full-time employment.
