Potentially heavy rains and gusting winds are expected in the wake of Tropical Storm Francine.

We continue to monitor the tropical system. At this time, the campus impact is expected to be 1-3 inches of rain, which can cause street flooding and minor traffic delays. The storm surge is expected to remain under 2 feet. Winds will be sustained most of the day Wednesday around 25 mph with gusts into the mid 40s, which could cause isolated power outages.

At this point, the campus is open and classes are scheduled as planned. All official updates regarding any potential campus impact will be delivered through your LSCPA email, the college's website (www.lamarpa.edu), and on LSCPA's Facebook page.
