Lamar State College Port Arthur has been approved by the Texas Education Agency as a qualified partner for higher education at several area high schools.

The College and Career Readiness School Models Network partners Early College High Schools or Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools with institutions of higher education.

Those public high schools enjoy a Memorandum of Understanding, meaning that credits earned while attending an ECHS will ultimately result in a college degree or certificate.

LSCPA works with a number of high schools regionally, including Bob Hope Early College High School and P-TECH Academy, Deweyville Early College High School, Livingston ISD P-TECH, Memorial High school, Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies, and West Orange-Stark Early College High School.

The designation is valid for one year, 2024-2025, and must be renewed annually by the high school campus. This designation allows campuses to receive technical assistance and the benefit of participating within a community of practice through our CCRSM Network.
